Maybe we can work together next?
Here’s one about me.
Growing up in Jamaica, my dad was always called by his last name. So he made it my first. Felt like it could be a conversation starter.
Since you're here, it probably worked. (Like my dad, I’ve done some naming of my own. Like this program, that high school, and this all-women's racing team.)
In a past life, people knew me as a copywriter and journalist, someone who’s had the rare opportunity to create work for and cover some of the largest multinational brands in the world. All while advocating for those who make the work at every step. I’m interested in the creative work that understands culture, social issues, emerging tech, and how they intersect with the grandest stages for stories to exist: sports, gaming, live events, and more.
Now, I’m building Aerialist, a storytelling consultancy that specializes in developing and creating branded narratives through a unique mix of creative direction, and content strategy + design. I’ve also co-founded 600 & Rising an advocacy group for Black talent in marketing, and Allyship & Action, an anti--bias platform for better equity in corporate American workplaces.
I’m also a public speaker who’s moderated panel discussions and fireside chats at Advertising Week, CDX, 3% Conference, Where Are All the Black People and MAIP Summit. I’ve served as a judge for the One Club’s Next Creative Leaders and Young Ones competitions, as well as the American Advertising Awards.
My personal mission is to build homes for stories, and to ensure that storytellers of all kinds know the canvases they can work with, and how best to use them.
But this bio isn’t just for me to talk that talk. I’m here to create and to collaborate.
Hopefully with you. So let’s work.
